Standard modern Korean: development of listening, speaking skills; basic grammar; reading and writing of the Korean script (hangul).

Equiv to 3rd and 4th courses in foreign language sequence; successful completion of 101, 102, 111 fulfills ASC foreign lang requirement. A close examination of masterpieces in Korean literature across different genres.
