The event provides a day for current high school students studying Japanese language a chance to explore a college campus and learn what it is like to continue to take Japanese language courses, study Japanese area studies, and major or minor in Japanese at the college level. Japanese Language and Culture Day 2016 will focus on high school juniors and seniors studying Japanese language at Benjamin Logan High School and Marysville High School.
