The inaugural meeting of Buckeye East Asian Linguistics (BEAL) Forum will take place on Friday, October 24, 2014 on the Columbus campus of OSU. The forum will feature two keynote lectures and multiple sessions of poster presentation. One of the keynote speakers, Professor Ik-sang Eom from Hanyang University in Seoul, South Korea, has been confirmed.

Those who are interested in presenting and attending should check out the forum website for more information and instructions for abstract submission [pdf].

The forum will provide a platform primarily forgraduate students to articulate and exchange ideas on their research findings with forum participants. It will be an excellent opportunity to present one’s research in a public arena and to receive comments individually. With the exception of keynote lectures, all are poster presentations, thus giving participants ample time for discussion. The forum, free and open to the public, is intended to showcase regional research activities in East Asian linguistics.
