OSU-Ichimiya Program in Japan
The Department of East Asian Languages and Literatures takes pleasure in announcing an internship program with Ichimiya Group companies including Nissen Chemitec Corporation in Niihama, Ehime, Japan. The program is offered in conjunction with the exchange program between OSU and Nissen Chemitec Corporation.
- PURPOSE: The purpose of
the program is to provide the intern with direct experience in the day-to-day operations
of a Japanese company as well as assisting employees of Nissen Chemitech in learning
about American culture.
- TERM: The term of the
program is either 6 months or one year, depending on the applicants' circumstances
and Japanese language ability. However, all effort will be made to fill the position
as a one-year term.
- ELIGIBILITY: OSU undergraduate and graduate students who are native speakers of English and have studied or are currently studying the Japanese language (Second year level or above) are invited to apply. Knowledge of Japanese business and culture are beneficial although not essential.
