Prerequisite:

High-level competency in the target East Asian language (Japanese or Chinese),
and permission of instructors. Ability to handle English at graduate level
is assumed.

The aim of this course is to develop a clear understanding of what it means
for learners in American colleges and universities to learn Chinese/Japanese.
Participants will learn how to articulate and apply these principles in developing
a coherent Chinese/Japanese language program. Also, see
