HOUSING OPTIONS
Is campus housing available?
Yes.
Must SPEAC participants use campus housing?
No. Campus housing is available as an option but is not required. SPEAC participants may also make other accommodations of their own choosing.
What are the costs?
$100/week, $700/7 weeks, $1000/10 weeks, based on double occupancy.
$200/week, $1,400/7 weeks, $2,000/10 weeks, based on single occupancy.
Where is SPEAC's campus housing located?
In the North Campus housing complex - Drackett Tower, located on 161 Curl Drive, Columbus, OH 43210, within easy walking distance of SPEAC activities. Checking in at Royer Activity Center [Tel: (614) 292-9725], located on 85 Curl Drive, which is not far from Drackett Tower. What is each housing unit like?
The units are furnished with a priviate bathroom, air conditioned, come with a microvaves, refridgerators, have internet connection and telephone jacks that you can use for unlimited local and on-campus calls. There is an additional charge for long distance calls. Bed linens and towels are included.
Special notice about checking into your dorm.
If you are choosing to stay at the OSU dorm during summer quarter, you must submit your housing request form along with your enrollment form and other materials. you must check in your dorm (Drackett Tower) on the morning of June 17. You will be REQUIRED to pay your housing costs in full when you check into your room on the morning of June 17. Please have your checkbook ready at check-in time.
MEALS OPTIONS
Is there a convenient meal plan available?
Yes.
Is the campus meal plan required?
No. It is available as an option. SPEAC participants may also make their own accomodations for meals.
What plans are available?
BUCK ID Bucks Package: BUCK ID Bucks are dollar amounts in your meals account that you access through your OSU identification card like a debit card. One may also add additional "bucks" to the card if desired. BUCK ID Bucksare accepted at any campus dining facility, campus bookstores, university owned vending machines, laundry facilities, and a number of nearby, off-campus food and service establishments.

** BUCK ID Bucks: You may "load" as much money into your BUCK ID Bucks account as you wish. You may spend the money where and when you want (wherever it is accepted). The minimum dollar amount required to open an account is $10.00
