Declaring a Major in Chinese, Japanese, or Korean Department of East Asian Languages & Literatures (DEALL)
There are two ways that you can declare a major in one of our programs. You can contact the College of Arts and Sciences Advising and Academic Services to make an appointment with an Academic Advisor there. They are located in the West Lobby of Denney Hall and their telephone number is (614) 292-6961. The second way to declare is to come see the DEALL Undergraduate Studies Director, Naomi Fukumori in 354 Hagerty Hall (tel. 614-247-7691).
Regardless of which route you take to declare your major, you should also see Dr. Fukumori so that she can assign you an Academic Advisor in DEALL—someone on the faculty who is an expert in your area of interest and can advise you about your studies on an ongoing basis. In addition, if you are in the Honors Program or are interested in finding out about it, you should contact our Honors Director, Chan Park-Miller (park-miller.1@osu.edu) in 352 Hagerty Hall.
