EASC internship program: Japanese Interpretation Shadowing application deadline

Interpretation Shadowing at Nissen Chemitec America, a Honda supplier, provides unpaid learning opportunities to help those who are interested in interpretation learn about how interpretation is done in business context and skills required in interpretation. There will be a plant tour. Students will meet the president and attend many meetings. Shadowing experience is one day in length.

Nissen Chemitec America    
Nissen Chemitec America is an injection molding company located in London, Ohio that supplies plastic interior and exterior automotive parts to Honda. It is a tier 1 supplier. There are about 400 employees, with five Japanese staff.

General Criteria

  • Students must be in Level 4 Japanese or higher at OSU.
  • To apply for an Interpretation Shadowing experience, please complete the application by Friday, January 27.
  • The applicants who are accepted into the program will receive a formal email from Allyson Larimer of Nissen Chemitec America with details once your shadowing has been scheduled.
  • The participants of the program must sign a non-disclosure agreement. Photographing the parts in the facility is strictly prohibited. The information about the parts obtained during shadowing cannot be shared with other people either.

Note: Students are responsible for their own transportation. Parking is free.
