Add to Calendar 2015-02-11 08:00:00 2015-05-07 19:00:00 Kimono Exhibit Mari Noda, professor of Japanese, curated the latest exhibit at Hagerty Hall’s Global Gallery, “Kimono: Blending of Different Cultures with Japanese Tradition.” In part tribute to her mother’s love of kimono and the craftsmanship that supports the kimono industry, the exhibit presents a brief history of kimono fashion, including contemporary use. It presents samples of prominent arts and crafts from various parts of Japan and illustrates putting on a kimono, a process that is not second nature to most young Japanese. The 40 panels of the exhibit are located in the central foyer and beside the Crane Café on the first floor of Hagerty Hall.
