Hunter became a Mandarin Chinese instructor after extensive studies abroad at Qingdao University. Upon returning to Missouri State University in Springfield, Missouri, Hunter began teaching Chinese part-time. He soon found that teaching was his true passion, and so he has come to The Ohio State University to explore the field of Chinese pedagogy. He personally hopes to become a better instructor and academically hopes for his research in Chinese pedagogy to positively impact the field of Mandarin instruction in the United States.
