After graduating from the University of North Carolina Wilmington, Joseph Santiago moved to Japan, teaching English in elementary schools through the JET Program. Combining his teaching experience with his love of the Japanese language, he now studies Japanese pedagogy at OSU. His research and teaching interests include instruction of advanced Japanese, learner motivation, and learner autonomy. Outside of research, feel free to chat with him about music and pro wrestling!
