As part of a series of conversations with Ohio State University's Department of East Asian Languages and Literatures and the East Asian Studies Center Alumni, DEALL welcomes Justine Franklin to do a Q&A session with DEALL and EASC students where she can provide current students with a real-world perspectives on career options after graduation and share her experience with how her degree has helped her as a professional.

Justine Franklin is a research associate at the nonprofit Inclusive Development International. She researches the financing and supply chain of largescale projects (e.g. mines, power plants, plantations, etc) to support local communities negatively impacted or displaced by them. She holds a dual bachelor’s degree in Chinese and International Studies from Ohio State University, as well as a dual masters in Applied Economics and East Asian Interdisciplinary Studies. Her prior research areas include political economics and Chinese economics and inequality. She was a Foreign Language Area Studies (FLAS) fellow and is proficient in Mandarin.

 

The event will be held in Mendenhall 115 from 7:10-8:30 pm, Monday October 27th and is open to everyone. 

Pizza and beverages will be served at the event.
