Three OSU students taking Korean at DEALL have received awards in the Second Midwest Korean Speech Contest held on Saturday, April 17, 2021.  

Franchesca Ulloa received the Highest Standing Award in the Advanced Level competition. Shelby Gogal received an Excellent Award in the Intermediate Level competition. Stephie Choe received an Honorable Mention in the Beginner Level competition.  

The Midwest Korean Speech Contest is open to college students who are currently taking or have taken a Korean language course at a college in the Midwest area. This year the contest was held via zoom (https://u.osu.edu/matk/), where forty-nine learners of Korean from nineteen universities in the Midwest competed.
