Hangul (Korean Alphabet) Day Celebration Brings Korean Language and Culture to Campus
The Korean Program hosted a successful Hangul Day Celebration on October 9, 2026. Celebrating the creation of the Korean alphabet, the event welcomed many students to explore Korean language and culture through three interactive stations.
At the Hangul station, participants discovered their first Hangul word. At the gimbap station, they rolled and enjoyed their own gimbap, Korean seaweed rice rolls. At the VR station, students took virtual tours of Korean cultural heritage sites and received Korean Heritage Visitor Passports as souvenirs.
Thank you to all the volunteers, instructors, and students who helped make the event a success!
