Oshaberi-kai Introduces First-Year Japanese Conversation Tables
Oshaberi-kai: the Japanese Conversation Table Club in DEALL, meets every Monday from 5:30 to 6:30 pm at HH159.
Beginning on November 2nd, we introduced “Ichinensee Tables” (First-Year Tables) for students enrolled in first-year Japanese or students who have recently started studying Japanese on their own.
At these tables, students practice using the grammar and vocabulary they are currently learning in class, with a Japanese instructor available to support the conversation. The goal is to help students build confidence and develop their speaking skills in a relaxed, welcoming environment.
The new initiative has already been a success. Students who participated said they would like to join again, and a total of 18 students, including two native Japanese-speaking students, attended the session.
If you are taking first-year Japanese, come join us! It is a great opportunity to practice what you are learning in class, meet fellow students, and gain confidence using Japanese in real conversations.
