Hyun Jin Lee-Miller earned her doctoral degree in Foreign, Second, and Multilingual Education from The Ohio State University and currently serves as a Senior Lecturer in the Department of East Asian Languages and Literatures at the same institution. She has been a member of the Korean language program since 2012 and has taught courses across the full range of the university’s Korean language curriculum, from introductory Level One (Korean 1101, 1102) and intermediate Level Two (Korean 1103, 2102) to advanced Level Three (Korean 4101, 4102) and Level Four (Korean 5101, 5102). In addition to language courses, she has taught content-based courses such as Korean Literature in Translation (Korean 2451).

 

Beyond the regular classroom curriculum, Lee-Miller coordinates and teaches the Korean Individualized Instruction (II) program, where she develops instructional materials to support students’ independent language learning. With extensive experience as a Korean language educator, she has worked with learners across a wide range of proficiency levels and age groups, including heritage learners in early education, university students, and non-heritage learners studying Korean as a foreign language.
