Cong is currently working towards a doctoral degree in Chinese Language Pedagogy in the Department of East Asian Languages and Literatures at The Ohio State University. He holds a M.A. and a B.A. in Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language from Shanghai International Studies University. He has successfully finished SPEAC intensive teacher-training program, enabling him to teach language classes at college level. His experience in teaching Chinese as foreign language include teaching college-level Chinese language courses ranging from beginning (Shanghai International Studies University), advanced (Ohio State University) to graduate level (Qingdao summer program of OSU). His research is based on teaching practice with the performed culture approach, focusing on the concept of game and design of classroom activities.
