EALL 5475: Women Writers, Culture and Society in East Asia

Close examination of representative works of major women writers from China, Japan, and Korea in the cultural and ideological context of each country. No knowledge of East Asian languages is required. All reading materials are in English.
Prereq: Chinese 2231, 2232, Japanse 2231, or Korean 2231, or at least one literature course at the college level, or permission of instructor. Not open to students with credit for 675.
