Yonsoo Kang-Parker specializes in Korean language and pedagogy. She coordinates the Korean Language Program and has taught all levels of Korean language courses of both the classroom and individualized instruction tracks.
 
Her research interests include the integration of technology in language teaching and learning, learner autonomy, and intercultural competence. In teaching the current generation of digital natives, she is particularly interested in how emerging digital tools can enhance language learning experiences and foster greater students' motivation and engagement. 
 
Kang-Parker has been working on projects that incorporate 360-degree Virtual Reality (VR) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) into Korean language courses to create immersive, interactive learning environments. Her work aims to connect linguistic skills with authentic cultural experiences by responding to the needs of today's students.
