Otsukimi (お月見)
Japanese Student Organization, Oshaberikai, East Asian Culture Club, and Chinese Culture and Conversation Club are excited to invite you to Otsukimi (お月見)! Otsukimi means "viewing the moon", and it is a tradition in many East Asian cultures to observe the harvest moon in October. The festivities are a little different depending on the culture, but their celebrations are united by common traditions of serving good food, playing music and a variety of fun games, commemorating the beginning of Autumn, and bringing people together. Please join us in continuing these traditions on the last Friday before Autumn break!
