The 27th International Conference on Yue Dialects ( 第二十七屆國際粵方言研討會 ) is coming up! It takes place on the evenings of November 30 and December 1 and 2, 2023, which corresponds to the mornings of December 1-3 in East Asia! This year's event is the first time that this conference series is held overseas, outside China and its two SARs, Hong Kong and Macau. Our conference theme is: Visions, Variation, and Vitality in Yue Dialects. The Program Book, containing the program schedule and abstracts, is online at the conference website:

We have 3 Keynote Speakers, one in Chinese history and two in Chinese linguistics, one of whom is our DEALL alumnus, Dana Scott Bourgerie (Ph.D., 1990).
