Congratulations to Seth Goss!

Seth Goss

Congratulations to Seth Goss on his recent promotion to Associate Professor of Japanese Linguistics in the Department of Russian and East Asian Languages and Cultures at Emory University. Seth received his Ph.D. from DEALL in 2015 (advisor M. Nakayama), and was hired as an assistant professor at Emory that fall. He is also a core faculty member in the Linguistics Program at Emory. In 2021, Seth received the prestigious Michael Sharwood Smith Award for best article in the journal Second Language Research for his study "Lexical accent perception in highly proficient L2 Japanese learners: The roles of language-specific experience and domain-general resources" (co-authored with K. Tamaoka). Congratulations!
