Former DEALL Chair Dr. Hsueh's Memorial to be Held in Reno, Nevada
Former DEALL chair, Prof. Feng Sheng ("Frank") Hsueh passed away in a hospital near his home in Reno, Nevada on Sept. 6, 2015. He was surrounded by his wife Daphne, and two children. Frank was 83 and was DEALL chair from 1986 to 1995 at DEALL-OSU. He was one of the founders of the DEALL program in Chinese linguistics and has many graduate students in universities in the US and abroad. Prof. Hsueh had a number of important publications in the fields of ancient Chinese linguistics and many of his papers were collected in a festschrift by his students.Professor Hsueh's memorial service will be held on Oct. 3 in Reno, Nevada.
Daphe Hsueh,who worked for many years in OSU libraries, encourages donations in Professor Hsueh's name to the Alzheimer's Association (specifying “research programs” if a donation is made).
