The Graduate Association of Chinese Linguistics (GACL), a student-run organization sponsored by DEALL, has won OSU's Student Organization Academic Achievement Award for 2012. GACL's advisor is Professor Marjorie Chan and its co-advisor is Professor Zhiguo Xie, both DEALL faculty members. 2011-2012 GACL president is Rongbin Zheng, who accepted the award on behalf of GACL.
