On September 23rd GREALL (Graduate Students of East Asian Languages and Literatures) co-hosted a meeting for DEALL graduate students to meet with Professor Mark Bender, department chair, and Professor Meow Hui Goh, DEALL graduate director. The meeting was held to facilitate better communication about graduate students' needs and thoughts about programs, classes, and research as well as act as a vehicle for Professor Bender and Professor Goh to propose ideas and receive feedback from the students. The meeting focused on two topics: 1) support for graduate students in the job-hunt and, 2) support for graduate students to conduct and present research. It was a great success and several new project ideas were proposed.
