Levi Gibbs accepts job from Dartmouth College

Levi Gibbs, DEALL PhD Candidate in Chinese Literature, was recently hired at Dartmouth College.  He will begin his new position as Assistant Professor of Asian and Middle Eastern Languages and Literatures in the fall of 2013. Levi spent 2011-12 doing fieldwork on folksongs and contemporary folk singers in northern China.  He is pictured here with the “Song King” Wang Xiangrong, the subject of Levi’s dissertation.  The dissertation advisers are professors Mark Bender (Chair), Meow Hui Goh, Kirk Denton and Ray Cashman (English).
