Recent DEALL alumnus Chunsheng Yang heads to UConn

Chunsheng ("George") Yang, a recent DEALL Ph.D. alumnus, has accepted a tenure-track Assistant Professorship in Chinese in the Department of Literatures, Cultures and Languages at the University of Connecticut. Currently an assistant professor in the Department of Modern Languages at Framingham State University, Chunsheng will start his new position at UConn in the fall of 2013. Under the guidance of Professor Marjorie K.M. Chan, Chunsheng received his doctoral degree in Chinese Linguistics from DEALL in 2011. His main research interests include Chinese phonetics and phonology, second language acquisition, as well as Chinese sociolinguistics and sociophonetics.
