Tara Stout, a senior student pursuing a dual degree -- a Bachelor of Arts in Chinese with Honors and a Bachelor of Science in Evolution and Ecology -- presented on 30 March 2016 at the Denman Undergraduate Research Forum, a university-level, competitively judged arena for undergraduates to showcase their research and creative projects. Her poster presentation, entitled "Evolution of Chinese opera training: The brutality behind the beauty," focused on actor training, recognizing the many hardships endured by the opera performers during the period from the Ming dynasty to the present.
