Xie receives research support from the Chiang Ching-kuo Foundation

Dr. Zhiguo Xie, Associate Professor of Chinese Linguistics, was awarded a Scholar Grant from the Chiang Ching-kuo Foundation for International Scholarly Exchange. The fellowship will support Professor Xie to conduct scholarly research on the expressivity of Chinese as a global language in this digital era.

The Chiang Ching-kuo Foundation was established in January 1989. Its core mission involves encouraging scholars at academic institutions throughout the world to undertake research projects in the humanities and social sciences that can shed new light on Chinese culture and society. It also promotes international contacts and cooperative projects with leading scholarly organizations, in order to enhance the status of Chinese culture and related research efforts.
