Si Guoqing specializes in comparative literature and world literature, with a special focus on contemporary Chinese minority literature. At present, he is working on his doctoral thesis entitled "A Study on the Writing of Folk Literature in Writers' Literature Since the New Era - A Case Study of ethnic groups with a small population in Northeast China".
