Wei William Zhou is a Ph.D. candidate specializing in Chinese linguistics. His academic training encompasses phonetics, phonology, language acquisition, psycholinguistics, and quantitative research methods. His research interests include L2 phonology, covering the acquisition of both segmental phonology (semivowels in English, Chinese, and Japanese) and prosody (the interaction between lexical tone and intonation in Chinese), as well as L2 lexical development (the interplay between phonology and orthography in Chinese). Aside from research, William is also enthusiastic about teaching languages. With experience in different teaching approaches, methods, and techniques, he has developed a passion for teaching and helping students with diverse learning needs and preferences.
