DEALL alumnus Leo Shingchi Yip publishes China Reinterpreted: Staging the Other in Muromachi Noh Theater (Lexington Books, 2016). Yip analyzes the various images of China manifested in a group of noh plays that feature Chinese characters and motifs (karagotomono).
DEALL students, Sarah Agyeman (Chinese 5101) and Joey Smith (Chinese 4152.71) won the Second Place of Senior Group and Third Place of Junior Group Awards, respectively, at the “Chinese Proficiency Competition for Foreign College Students” in New York on April 9, 2016.
